Photo of the Day: It Came From the Deep

Now, I knew this was a turtle, and I guessed that it was a “suppon”, a Chinese soft-shelled turtle. But, I thought it would be more fun to let my imagination run wild.

What could you imagine it to be?

As an aside, suppon are a kind of snapping turtle, so best not to get too close. I didn’t know that, and got quite cozy with it. Now that I do know, I shudder to think what could have happened. Bye bye fingers?
