After a typhoon blows through, the weather goes from wild to wonderful. That perfect post-storm weather is called taifuu ikka in Japanese.
Last night, we had a very early typhoon blow through. Typhoon #6 (Noul) was a super typhoon when it hit the Philippines and Taiwan, but was much, much weaker when it arrived in our backyard. Still, it packed quite a wallop, wind-wise.
As per tradition, though, this morning dawned clear and bright.
The beach was covered in seaweed and, sadly, garbage. The waves were pretty big. Of course, there were a few brave souls in to surf and paddle board. Not a one managed to catch a wave, though.
