I just can't get enough of all the persimmons! I loooooooove persimmon trees (kaki): colour, shape, variety, sparsely leafed, full of foliage... I love them all! So you'll probably be seeing more persimmons before the season ends.

So this shop isn't along Yuigahama Dori, but rather the street that leads to the Daibutsu. For the most part, shops along there shut down early, but there are a few that manage to keep the lights on past tea time.

Towards the downtown end of Yuigahama Dori is an antique shop full of furniture. And then there's this one, full of random bits and pieces of days gone by. This one is much more interesting to walk by.

I love this shop. It sells rice, rice and more rice, which isn't unusual at all here in Japan. But, it's the fanciest rice shop I've ever seen, and that makes me happy. Boutique rice.

Kaede and I went on an evening stroll down Yuigahama Dori (street), and discovered that it's got a different feel at night. Which really shouldn't come as a surprise, but somehow, I wasn't expecting it. The next few posts will be random shops we walked by that drew my attention.
