We stopped by a harbour in Hayama, a small town up the coast from Kamakura, and I decided that boats need to be painted bright colours.
It’s a beautiful little place, with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji over the water. What makes it even better is that there’s a torii gate out in the sea, too, so you get Mt. Fuji AND a crimson gate.
I snapped this photo while trying to get a good shot of Mt. Fuji as the sun set. I wasn’t too successful with the mountain, but the boats turned out nice. Boats in harbour, I find soothing. Boats at sea, however, make me nervous.
