Kamakura really seems to enjoy relationships with supreme beings.
Of course, it’s got centuries of temple and shrine history—which explains the myriad temples and shrines, but it also has a surprising number of churches—at least four in our area of town, and probably more further afield.
This church is the oldest, I believe. It’s United, but was originally Methodist if I remember correctly. It’s simple, but striking when the sun hits it just right.
