Near and dear to my heart—since we live two to four minutes away, depending on whether you get caught by the train or not—Hase Station sits fourth on the Enoden Line from Kamakura to Fujisawa.
As the bigger train stations on the busier lines get updated and re-built, it’s nice to still have quaint little platform-only stations along single-track lines to remind us of where we came from. Or where some people came from, at least—my hometown in Canada hasn’t had a train station since well before I was born.
But back to the Enoden Line: Hase is a manned station, but a lot of others along the Enoden line aren’t manned, which makes things even quainter.
