Meigetsu-in, a temple famous for its hydrangeas, is tucked away in the hills of Kita-Kamakura. I visited the other day—not during hydrangea season—to reacquaint myself with the temple, and cam across a lot of well-dressed statues.

Belly Rubbing Happiness

Need some happiness? Cheer? General pleasantness in life? Just give Hotei sama's belly a rub, and all will come up rosy. Hotei sama is in the cemetery area of Jochi-ji, a temple in Kita-Kamakura. Yesterday's persimmon photos were also from Jochi-ji.
